Research requiring Ethics Committee approval is as follows:

  • All kinds of research conducted using qualitative or quantitative approaches that require the collection of data from participants through techniques such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, observations, experiments, and interviews.
  • The use of humans and animals (including materials/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
  • Clinical research conducted on humans,
  • Research conducted on animals,
  • Retrospective studies carried out in accordance with the law on the protection of personal data.

In addition:

  • In case reports, it must be stated that an “Informed Consent Form” has been obtained,
  • Permission must be obtained from the owners for the use of others’ scales, questionnaires, photographs, and this must be indicated,
  • It must be stated that copyright regulations have been complied with for the use of intellectual and artistic works.

Article Submission and Evaluation Process

New and revised submissions are followed through different processes. You must submit your article as a single Word file for peer review. At the acceptance stage, the article must be prepared in the publication format and all required elements must be provided.

The evaluation will be carried out based on three main criteria:

  1. Whether the problem addressed by the author(s) constitutes a significant obstacle in theory testing;
  2. The prevalence of the problem in social sciences and research fields;
  3. The applicability of the proposed solution and its superiority over existing approaches.

Article Submission

Authors must submit their studies electronically via the online article submission system. The system provides step-by-step guidance throughout the submission process.

Manuscript source files must be uploaded in Microsoft Word format; the system submits them for peer review. All correspondence is conducted via e-mail; no paper correspondence is required.

Make sure the following are included:

  • E-mail address
  • Full submission address
  • ORCID

Writing Rules

The publication language is English. Articles to be submitted to the journal must be written and submitted in Microsoft Word format. The writing template is available at the documents page. It is sufficient to place your work into the template.

In tables and figures, titles should be placed at the top and references at the bottom, and the length of articles, including references, should not exceed 12,000 words.

Article Title:
The title should clearly state the purpose and scope of the article and should not exceed ten words.

Abstract:
The abstract must be prepared in English for each article and should be between 150–250 words. In this section, the author(s) should explain the purpose of the study, research methods, design used, how data was obtained and analyzed, and briefly mention the results obtained.

Keywords:
In order to ensure that the article can be easily found in indexes and databases, at least 3 and at most 6 keywords that are most appropriate to the study should be provided in alphabetical order and separated by commas. There should be a space between the keywords, and the first letters should be capitalized. After the keywords, three JEL codes should be written with one space.

Introduction:
In this section, the subject of the study and the research problem should be clearly presented, and the importance of the study should be justified by stating its purpose. Explanations based on the existing literature should be made in this part, and citations should be given in accordance with APA 7 rules.

Conceptual Framework / Theory
This section summarizes previous research conducted in the studied field and the results obtained. Readers have the opportunity to compare studies conducted by different researchers on the same subject in terms of research method, findings, and results.

Method
The research design should be explained in detail, and the data collection techniques used, sampling, and analysis process should be clearly described. The statistical methods or qualitative analysis techniques applied should be detailed to a level that ensures replicability of the study. In-text texts within tables should be written in Times New Roman, 10 pt.

Findings and Method
The necessary tables and figures regarding the findings obtained should be presented clearly and comprehensibly. The titles of the tables should be placed at the top, and the titles of the figures should be placed at the bottom. Both should be numbered and titled in accordance with APA 7 standards.

Conclusion and Recommendations
By summarizing the findings, a conclusion section containing theoretical and practical contributions should be created, and suggestions for future studies should be provided.

Acknowledgements:
In completed studies, the acknowledgements section is where thanks are given to individuals or institutions providing financial support, or support for data/information collection. If the study has been carried out within the scope of a project, it is recommended that the project number be stated in this section. The acknowledgements section should be placed before the references.

References
All works cited within the study must be included in the references section. Moreover, no publication not cited in the study should be included in the references section. The references section is extremely important in terms of scientific ethics, and authors must select their references with great care. This is a requirement that falls under the responsibility of the authors.

Peer Review Process

The first version of submitted studies is subject to editorial review within 1 week. Suitable studies are forwarded to the relevant field editor. The field editor sends the study to expert referees in the subject area. Referees are asked about their availability to review the study; those who agree are provided with the full text and given 15 days for evaluation.

According to the referee reports:

  • Studies that receive two “rejected” decisions, or one “rejected” + one “major revision” decision, are rejected.
  • Studies with one “rejected” + one “minor revision” decision are sent to a third referee. Publication is determined according to the third referee’s decision.

Even if positive opinions are received from referees, the decision to publish depends on the approval of the editor-in-chief. The process is expected to take approximately 30–50 days.
